Two years ago, photographer Tanja Hollander had 626 Facebook friends. They included ex-lovers, ex-partners of friends, fellow high school students she hadn’t seen in 20 years, people she no longer talked to and people she’d never met. And she wondered: How many of these people are actual friends, in the conventional sense? So she began a mission: to photograph every single one of them.
