  5. NPR’s Cokie Roberts and her husband talk about falling in love on Capitol Hill in this delightful video about finding love in the nation’s capital by our buddy AJ Chavar/The Washington Post

  6. Eleanor, 1947 ©Harry Callahan
There is a beautiful exhibit, Harry Callahan at 100, currently on display at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The exhibit spans the entirety of Callahan’s career and is interwoven with tidbits about his life. I was especially taken with his view of teaching and this insight about his wife, Eleanor, who he photographed extensively:
“Immensely supportive of her husband and his work, Eleanor Callahan regarded his photographing her as simply a part of their daily lives. She later recalled that she might be cooking or cleaning when Callahan, seeing something of potential interest, would say, “‘Take off your clothes.’ and that would be that!”
The exhibit will be on display until March 4th. See more images and read more about Mr. Callahan on The Picture Show.
